Hi everyone, glad to have found you! I own a high-end skincare business. Now I just manage (thank goodness) but was an esthetician for ten years before I got out of the tx room. Look forward to hearing about everyone else and asking some of those burning questions!

Ooops, I forgot to post here!
My name is Karen - I'm 51 and venturing into a 2nd career of esthetics (almost 2 years). I'm a healthcare consultant for physicians, managing several offices, including a derm practice full time (which does not have esthetics). I have my solo skin care center on Fridays/Saturdays and some evenings.

Hello! I am pleased to have found this site. I am new to the whole web chat system. I finally got out of my room and behind the desk!
I am in No. Cal in a little rented room. I have owned my own spa for 5 years in So. Cal and moved up here a year ago and decided to get back to business.
I look forward to great discussions and relationships with others like me.

Hi Trinity,
Welcome! I'm in Marin County. There are other Nor-Cal members here too. Though with the web forum, we can connect with people anywhere! Isn't it cool?
Looking forward to knowing you.

I am Krista, I live in Potato-ville USA -- JUST KIDDING!!! That's what everybody says about Boise -- but I couldn't pick out a potato field if I tried ....
I grew up in Southern California (LA/Orange County border) and have lived in Idaho since 1990.
I am a former flight attendant for a major airline who has held an esthetics license since 2003 (needed something different after 9/11). I am recently divorced (for the 2nd time), and ... last Wednesday, I just got fired (for the first time in my life -- EVER) from my meat-and-potatoes job at a newly opened cosmetics laser center in downtown. It is my fourth esthetics job in three years -- and I really thought this would be the one for a while .... even though I had to try really hard to work through a lot of negative issues.
I would really really like to devote myself to my getting my own business going ... in August, I found a beautiful, empty room with a sink inside a busy massage therapy practice and I worked out the details to furnish and rent the room on Mondays only (my weekday off from the laser center) -- but now, suddenly, things have changed dramatically and I either have to find a way to financially get things going for my business --- or find another job to support me and my kids while I try to work on the business part time ......
I'm just kind of pouring out here .... but I am so glad to be a part of this board!!!
Thanks to the professional, knowledgeable, ever-so-helpful, Preston gang!!

Hi Everyone,
I'm a spa exe/massage therapist/aesthetician who left a 10 year career managing a large destination spa for a solo private practice. I'm located 2 hours east of Toronto, ON Canada. I openned my own studio 18 months ago with PPL from inception. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. I love the product and I think this board is amazing!
Best,
Rebecca
