Can anyone tell me anything about how to write a spa business plan? Or provide me a copy of theirs to use as a template? I'm completely lost.

I'm so lost, I'm actually wondering if I should invest in the Plan Magic software I've found on the Internet. It's on the pricey side, but I'm out of options. I've visited the Business Centre here, and I've purchased a book on starting a business in Canada, but the plan templates I've gotten deal stricty with retail (and doesn't cover any services) or deal with manufacturing (the biggest entrepreneurial sector in Canada). None of them outline how to lay out a plan that deals with anything remotely like a spa. Of the people I have spoken with, they've told me to franchise. They don't seem to think that a spa can be something other than a multimillion dollar resort operation. It's so frustrating.

So if anyone can offer me advice, I'll most graciously accept it!

Their prices seem pretty reasonable if the product is comprehensive. We sell Resources & Development's business plan template–very very detailed but more expensive than the Plan Magic one.

What is with their dang live support window, what a hassle that was!

Thanks, Lisa! I knew I was asking at the right place. biggrin.gif

Could you provide me with links to what plan you sell, and the program it runs on? I'm willing to invest in a solid business plan--anything to avoid the hassle I've dealt with trying to find one locally!

You can go to our shopping page at www.prestoninc.net and it's there! I believe it's all MS Word docs!

Thank you so much, Lisa!!! Have I told you lately that I love you? wub.gif air_kiss.gif

This looks really great! And it's the same price as the Plan Magic one--and I know your work is great, so I'm definitely going to invest in this plan!

Thanks again!
