Hi Bill,
I used a ProScope in the creation of the Ona 21 Facial at Ona Spa in Los Angeles, CA.
http://www.onaspa.com/onaspa/index.asp?ref=none&bhcp=1 The scope is connected to a laptop computer attached to a rolling trolley that estheticians take into the treatment room when performing this service. Magnified pictures are taken of various areas of the client's face for the purpose of identifying irregularities and discussing procedure options. It's a very impressive element of that high-end facial. Our former Treatment 21 but current Preston Method guided visualization program is integrated into this service. It received a lot of press when it was first introduced in 2004.
The scope also became a standard component in our skin analysis and acne therapy courses. It's a great advantage in training to see various skin conditions projected onto a large LCD screen connected to the computer. We were even able to capture motion shots of a comedone extraction procedure, something very difficult to visually demonstrate for a group of students. While I am retired from practicing esthetics, the ProScope, had it been available to me back then, would've been a standard tool in my initial client skin analyses. It would also be extremely useful tool for documenting progressive skin improvements achieved through advanced treatments such as microdermabrasion or high-potentcy AHA. I like the fact that the scope can make even new estheticians seem like they've been in the profession much longer than they have—a great confidence builder!
That's my take on it! I'd recommend it to anyone.
