If you could have three wishes granted in regards to your business, what would they be?

*Poof* my bookkeeping is done without me thinking about it
*Poof* my office is completely organized. Again, without me thinking about it
*Poof* I can fast forward six months to when I reap the rewards for work done today

1. That no woman would ever suffer male violence again.
2. That no child would ever be abused or neglected again.
3. That no person would ever fail to find and keep a lasting love.

(1) That the persistent, honest effort I have put into marketing my services the last 24 months will pay off.
(2) To have 10 appointments booked per week, every week.
(3) To have a small set of clientele who know, appreciate, and want high quality customer service while in my hands, and they will refer me to their family and friends.
I have 11 more months to go of energetic, positive-focused efforts......

and I stay motivated everyday while working toward my goal.

1. That my clients feel special when they spend time with me.
2. That I am able to find a better balance between work and play.
3. At least 6 (7 would be even better) digits in my salary! (You said anything)

Lisa- I have thought about this question so much... it's been haunting me for weeks, now. In my thoughts, it's been more in the form of 'what is important to me in my business- what matters?, what do I want out my business? how will I define sucess? Why am I doing this?
This may sound somewhat esoteric, but it all boils down to : I want to make a difference. I want to make a difference in the lives of my clients, my staff and my family.
I want people that I touch (cleints, employees and family) to know that I care about them, their inner struggles, self doubts, needs, desires, as well as celebrations, and that I am there to nurture and support them.
I want my basic needs met in the form of a small salary. I know that for me, success for me will not be defined by a large salary. I have what I need and want, everything else is just cake- I've been happy in my life with 'lots' and I've been equally happy during leaner times.
I want my career to inspire my daughters. To take calculated risks and not fear success (as defined by them). I want my career to enlighten my sons, that women in general, (and the future women in their lives) are capable, intellegent and worthy of their own dream.
And finally, I want my spa to make enough money so that I can provide living wages for myl employees, and provide health insurance, as well.
Thanks for asking the question, Lisa- It is good to ask yourself 'why' once in awhile... sometimes the answer is stunning!!!!

What great answers! Sue, I like the statement you made about being just as happy in leaner times as in "lots" times.
I'm still thinking about mine!

This is such a juicy topic! I've been thinking about it since yesterday. Although I could perseverate on it even longer, I'd like to make myself declare it. Sort of like when it's your turn to make a wish and blow out the birthday candles--stop thinking and just wish what's on the top of our mind.
1. To improve the quality of life for holistic health practitioners and their clients on a worldwide level. There are a lot of sub-wishes that would be handled under that one: better healthcare, empowering women's careers (we're a largely female dominant workforce), and one of my pet-projects--change the dynamics of commerce so that people receive meaningful value for what they spend on. My whole mission in life is to help more healers heal more people. So this is everything to me.
2. My ideal schedule is 1-2 weeks "front stage" and 2-3 weeks "back-stage." To accomplish wish #1, I need this one. When I have the space, I think the quality of my work improves. I should be writing books at this point in my career. I've got things to say. I'd like to have our team of front-line coaches/consultants handle most of the day-to-day work, so I can bring out the big juicy bits of things I've learned and want to share with everyone.
3. For small business administration to be easy to manage. The greatest obstacle to my wishes #1 & 2 is that small business in the US is a complicated debacle of administrative chores that deaden the soul. Yes, that's dramatically phrased, but it's actually toned down from how I really feel. It's insane how many things have to be in place for a person to have their own business. There are so many AMAZING healers I know, for example, who get eaten up by not being able to cope with the business world. I recognize the need for laws and commerce, but sometimes the rules and regulations bring me down. I'm starting to imagine that we should just start our own simple cash-based economy somewhere. So if I could have ANY wish at all, that would improve the quality of life for my clients, colleagues, and myself, it would be that business management was simpler.
And as the phrase goes, "So be it!"
Okay, Lisa...
I'm under the assumptive that all of our wishes are coming true. Looking at the cumulative benefit of everyone's wishes, I'm feeling mighty abundant! So what are your wishes, darlin?
