The medical spa I work for will be hosting our first educational seminar next week. The invitation has this lasting one hour. I am putting the finishing touches on my script and plan to talk for no longer than 20-25 minutes, then move on to the door prizes and questions. My idea is to talk about hydration; why it is important, what hydrated skin looks and feels like and what clients can do at home to maintain or improve hydration.
What are the most important bits of info. you would pass along if you were speaking. I don't want to overload them, but cover all the important bases. I will be around for questions after also and hope someone will have a question or two.
Thank you so very much.

I think it's helpful to explain the difference between oil- and water-deficient skin. Sometimes people will think the only solution for skin that feels dry is to put heavy moisturizer on, when really all they need is better hydration with ingredients like hyaluronic acid, etc. Could save some folks from breakouts by letting them know the difference.

Hi Alicia,
Your presentation sounds interesting. What I find important to convey is the anti-aging aspect of exfoliation and how that allows our skin to be hydrated.
Hope it is a succesful and inspirational evening. Be sure to give us a report ...

How many of us explain daily to oily skin wearers why they still need a moisturizer. This is sooooo true. Thanks for your input.
Gail, thank you for your response. For some reason, just reading your post I was calmed. I have been typing and researching all day, so calm is needed. Off to drink some tea... I will keep you posted.
Thank you,
Karen

Take advantage of the time of year for your talk..........focus on sun damage. The 'peel' season is in, have them sign up for a series at a discount.........
Bring in some business !!!!

Karen, I have two other seminars this year in the works ( 3 and 6 wks. from now) and sundamage was a possible topic. I'm glad to know someone else thinks it's a good idea also.
Thanks
