In your staff meetings do you ever talk about a highlighted product (say, something new or something you want to push as seasons change) or have your staff do mini reports on one of your products?

We take one product (or group of products) as well as one service and review the use, benefits, selling points and discuss how to improve the sales of it. I usually have a staff member that performs the service give the service talk, and Front desk folks do the products. It generates a lot of discussion, is educational for everyone, and forces folks to 'bone-up' on their topic before they give the review, which never hurts!
We also started a 'literature review'. Topics relevant to different departments (professional journal articles), are copied, and each member is to inital after reading. The person picking/postying the article rotates through the staff, as well. It keeps us interested, and our eye on improvement.

Great ideas, like giving a Show & Tell presentation. I like it! Thanks, Nina

When I worked at the spa we had monthly staff meetings and we usually had some sort of product knowledge training at each meeting. I thought they were really helpful.
Now that I'm on my own I have product knowledge training every night. I take PK sheets to bed for reading. Funny thing is that I always drop right off to sleep...wonder why?
