We did this at our NYE party. Give it a try!
Get a piece of paper, and write down:
1. One (or several!) icky thing, habit, idea, person or situation you want to be rid of in 2008.
2. How said icky thing is messing up your life, finances, fun, future, self esteem, confidence or relationships
3. How life will be better without the icky thing
4. Do you really mean that you want to be rid of this, or is this just another rerun?
Once you've got this all down, either toss it in your shredder if you have one (that's what we did) or you can burn it, rip it up, bury it...destructive method of your choice.
What's your icky thing?

How fun! Reminds me of that classic Friends episode when the girls are burning letters from their ex boyfriends and end up flirting with the firemen who came to put it out!
Hmm... My icky thing would have to be
Procrastination
Right after I'm done with this one other thing, I'll do my shred a dred on that. (hee hee, just kidding.)
SO...here goes!
Boy..... I'm Super Glad it's a New Year! A new chance, a new beginning. While last year held many positives for me personally, the really serious bad accidents, injuries, events and diseases which have affected my family in the last 6 months are what I will remember.... so, I shred my 2007 calendar in effigy!!!
May 2008 bring healing and health!

Shredding my biggest time stealer would require me to put my laptop and Blackberry through the shredder....they won't fit LOL
I seriously need to put some limits on myself with respect to internet use. It's an addiction isn't it?

No problem - just lock them in the back of your car and park in a parking garage in San Francisco for half an hour.
The outcome will be the same, but there's a bit more broken glass involved!
