Have you thought of an Ipod, hooked up to a music system that is wired for your entire place? There are some nice Ipod stereo systems out there (I saw one at Costco for $150) ... and now the nano comes in 2G, 4G and 8G .... there's even Ipods that will store something like mega_shok.gif,000 songs -- that's a lot of time without repeats!

We tried just about everything, including overhead digital music streaming.... the first time an emergency broadcast siren blared (thankfully NOT during a massage), I cancelled. I have an IPOD for the front office, but ended up with CD's and stereos with better sounding bass in each of the rooms. The therapists like to choose thier own music. But, you have to listen to a CD changing over if the Tx is longer than the CD, and they do scratch. On a side note, I had a wonderful stone massage at another local spa, and thier overhead IPOD system cut-out during the massage... I didn't care, but the therapist was definitely thrown for a loop! She left the room during the massage to try to get someone to fix it. I guess every system has it's vulnerabilities!

You get an iPod, connect it to a stereo receiver through the auxillary inputs, run the speakers our from there and, voila, you have great sound and bass all from a very inexpensive system. No sound of CDs changing, make your own playlists, and the thing runs forever. We use the very same system at home.
